About Us

Prevailing Truth Ministries was founded in January of 2011 by Mr. and Mrs. David Paul Strom, with a very specific purpose, to lead others toward experiencing God’s love to the fullest. PTM began in a small cafe in New Braunfels, TX where services were held in a meeting room adjacent to the dining area. After a short time the PTM group moved their Sunday services to a slightly larger space on the downtown square in San Marcos, TX. Six months later PTM returned to the city of New Braunfels to occupy a space more than seven times larger.

Some things you should know about PTM:

We proclaim Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Son of God, born of flesh, sinless, crucified, and resurrected! (Paying the complete price for sin once and for all).

We keep it real! (You will not find PTM operating in a contrived, manipulative, sensationalistic, or artificial manner).

We major on the life-changing power of God’s love! (Steering clear of religious trappings, condemnation, and judgmental attitudes).

So, what can you expect when you come to PTM? The first thing you will notice about us is that we care deeply for each other (as children of God). Whether we’re face-booking, out on the town, or just being there for one another, you will find the agape love of God shared between us. When you arrive at our church (252 S. Kowald Ln.) you will feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. You will find an informal atmosphere, (wear what you are comfortable in) an opportunity to worship freely, and a genuine, spirit-led message from the word of God.

We have a separate room for children 7 and under, where your child will be cared for during the message portion of each service. We occasionally serve breakfast – usually the first Sunday of each month. We have a “potluck” lunch on the third Sunday of each month. Come see us at 10:00 on Sunday morning, or 7:00 on Wednesday nights.
